Gueuze! A new Belgian (not New Belgium) blender…a beautiful beer. In the background you will see some of the spoils of Novare…one of three world class beer bars in Maine (Ebeneezer’s and Lion’s Pride included).

Beautiful August evening at the best parking garage in portland…the Custom House Wharf Garage. That’s my view in the morning when I take the car into work. Who knows where we were going…probably pizza.

Things are a bit smaller in New England (Deering Oaks Park).
Rosa & May at the new Portland Public Library. It’s a great new building and a fun destination for the fam. It’s so different from the last iteration of the library that it’s hard not to stand in awe as you enter and think about how your town is changing around you. Also, if you’re into libraries, that google image link is from Library Thing, another noteworthy Portland, Maine library landmark.

This is one of my favorite interruptions on the bike commute to work. Like snow storms and drawbridges (both frequently seen in Portland Maine), trains are one of those great reminders to relax, forget about where you’re going and just enjoy the spectacle.

We went to the Portland (ME you fools) greendrinks event tonight at the Portland Yacht Services building. It was a good time. We brought our own glasses and drank our fill for $2.
