Portland, Maine has more than it's fair share of stellar beer offerings and fine dining establishments. But, you'll be hard pressed to find anything more fun than a wrap and a 20 ounce tin can of beer at Silly's. Cowboy style.

Allagash, makers a signature world class wit beer and a variety of other rarified offerings also offers a nice, simple, affordable table beer for locals (and visitors) to grab by the (wooden) case at the brewery and tasting room.

We've been on a bit of an arboretum kick lately. Maine's version is Viles Arboretum in Augusta. It's a great spot, lots of space and neat sculpture and it's really coming along nicely as an arboretum.

I ran into this excellent thing on a parking meter. I pretty much brought the ruckus for the rest of the day.
