A closer look at the transparent gold: The neighbors kindly handed off their sap buckets to us (after exhausting themselves on stove-top sap boiling). I took a slightly more industrial approach thanks to my 10 gallon stainless steel stockpot (used for brewing beer) and my propane cooker. The outdoor equipment allowed us to focus less on the sap and more on the screwing around (which is always good). Of course, the result was delicious maple syrup!
